PHYSICAL ARTIFACTS

The Lyon County Museum has many artifacts in its collection. Below are a few related to the Vietnam War.

United States Army Ninth Infantry Division Vietnam 1966-1967. “Thomas Joseph Polfliet 9th Inf. Div. Viet Nam” is written inside the front cover in pencil.
Book written by Loren Wood and created by Mary Jo Tischler.  Contains photographs and descriptions of his life in the US Army including a tour in Vietnam.
These boots were left at the traveling Vietnam Memorial when it was in Marshall, MN July 10-13, 2014. They were left by a veteran along with a message from the class of 1964 thanking Rollie Moore of Marshall for his service to our country. Rollie Moore was killed in Vietnam.
Class A US Army dress uniform belonged to Raymond Fox of Marshall.
